Location
From villages located in the northern and southern parts of the Côte de Nuits primarily vineyards located in the villages of Brochon (next to Gevrey-Chambertin) and Corgoloin-Comblanchien (next to Nuits-St-Georges).
Soil The slopes of Comblanchien and Corgoloin cover hard Bathonian calcareous clay-based soil from the Middle and Upper Jurassic.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled open vats (28/30°C) with regular punching of the cap followed by 8 to 12 months ageing in oak barrels.
Robe Beautiful deep ruby red in colour.
Nose Features fruity aromas, particularly of red berries such as redcurrants and raspberries.
Palate A silky wine with round, pleasing structure. The finish is delightfully fruity.
Serve with This wine is a perfect match for stewed meats, beef bourguignon, leg of lamb or osso bucco. Choose relatively mild cheeses such as Langres, Chaource or Pont-L’Evêque.
Serve at 14 to 16 °C.
Cellaring potential From 3 to 5 years.
