Burgundy’s terroirs have showcased the Pinot Noir grape for centuries where it is synonymous with elegance and finesse. The grapes are sourced from plots throughout the region.
Soil Though the terroirs are very diverse, all of the soils are a mix of clay and limestone. The vines are planted in a north-south axis with varying exposure to the sun and at varying altitudes. These factors all contribute to this wine’s aromatic complexity.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats at 28-30°C with punching of the cap before being aged for 8 to 12 months in oak barrels.
Robe Beautiful deep ruby red in colour.
Nose Refreshing nose with predominant aromas of red fruits such as sweet cherry, blackberry, and fresh juicy grapes.
Palate Endowed with well-integrated tannins, this wine is harmonious on the palate and boasts good structure.
Serve with Easily paired with roasted or grilled meats, an assortment of deli meats, or mild cheeses. It goes very well with a spiced lamb stew, vegetable shepherd’s pie or beef carpaccio with parmesan curls. As for cheeses, serve this wine with creamy Neufchâtel or Chaource.
