Location
The Bergeret estate is located about twenty kilometers southwest of Beaune, in the small town of Nolay, in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.
Soil
On a clay-limestone soil (belonging to Jurassic rocks), the vineyard is planted on hillsides and faces South-East at an altitude of 450 m.
Grape variety
100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification
Vinification in open thermoregulated vats at 28/30 °C with punching down. Aging: 85% in vats and 25% in oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.
Robe
Beautiful ruby color with cherry reflections.
Nose
On the nose, it reveals nuances of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry with some spicy notes.
Palate
Very expressive palate in line with the nose with delicately peppery and vanilla notes. Gourmand finish.
Serve with
Classic pairing: Roast lamb with herbs. Unusual pairing: Grilled quails with Espelette pepper.
Serve at
Service temperature: between 14-15°C.
Cellaring potential
Aging: To be enjoyed young and fruity or to be kept for 3 to 4 years.
