Location
Located at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune, Santenay is a village known since Gallo-Roman antiquity for its thermal waters.
Soil Hard limestone brown soils.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Manual harvesting, sorting of the grapes upon arrival at the winery. Fermentative maceration in thermoregulated wooden vats for 3 to 4 weeks. Aging in oak barrels for 14 months.
Nose The bouquet reveals fresh notes of red fruits (cherry, raspberry...), flowers (peony, rose...) and spices.
Palate The full-bodied and rich palate is supported by present but round tannins. A wine with character but also elegant, with a very aromatic long finish.
Serve with Classic pairing: Herb omelette. Unconventional pairing: Tagliatelle with red pesto.
Serve at Service temperature: 14°C.
Cellaring potential To drink now or to keep for up to 5 years.
