Location
Located between Beaune and Volnay, Pommard is one of the most famous villages in the Beaune region known for its red wines.
Soil The soils are brown/red, rich in hard limestones from the foothills with steep terrain and a very favorable exposure, East and South-East.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Vinification in open thermoregulated vats at 28/30 °C with punching down. Aging in oak barrels (25% new barrels) for 14 to 16 months.
Robe Pretty dark red color with garnet reflections.
Nose Fine and round nose of cherry and plum with a hint of violet and some toasted notes.
Palate The mouth is endowed with a beautiful intensity, the wine is fleshy and ample with a beautiful aromatic persistence that leaves in the mouth some spicy notes of cinnamon.
Serve with Classic pairing: Ribeye steak with morel mushrooms. Unconventional pairing: Tiger crying.
Serve at Service temperature: between 14-16°C.
Cellaring potential Aging potential: 3 to 5 years and more.
