Location
The Domaine Bergeret estate is located approximately twenty kilometres southwest of Beaune in the small town of Nolay, at the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.
Soil The vines are planted at an altitude of 450 m on slopes that face southeast in calcareous clay soil derived from Jurassic parent rock.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled open vats (28/30°C) with regular punching of the cap followed by 8 to 12 months ageing in oak barrels.
Robe Beautiful ruby colour with cherry red tinges.
Nose Nuances of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) with some notes of spices.
Palate Very expressive and coherent with the nose featuring delicate notes of pepper and vanilla. Delectable finish.
Serve with Many dishes may be paired with our Hautes-Côtes de Beaune: a hanger steak with coriander, leg of lamb with rosemary or veal chops with creamed potatoes. Cheeses such as Saint-Nectaire or Gruyère are good choices.
