Bourgogne Aligoté is an appellation found throughout Burgundy, especially in the region around Auxerre, in the Côte Chalonnaise, as well as in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and de Nuits.
Soil Our selection of Aligoté vines grow in a limestone stratum often combined with marls and clay.
Grape variety 100 % Aligoté.
Vinification Vinification takes place at 20°C in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve all of the freshness and aromas of this varietal. The wine is aged primarily in vats on the lees with stirring for 10 to 12 months.
Robe Beautiful brilliant pale yellow in colour.
Nose Predominantly fruity (fresh grapes).
Palate Lovely flavours of ripe fruit with nice roundness for an Aligoté. Slightly briny on the finish.
Serve with On its own or in a kir with a splash of Burgundian blackcurrant liqueur, this is ideal aperitif wine. With food, it is the perfect match for all types of fish, crustaceans and white meats: veal stew with cream and mushrooms, trout with sorrel sauce or scallops with shallots and hazelnut oil.
Serve at Serve between 10 and 12°C.
