Location
Located in the Côte de Beaune above Meursault, this small appellation of 120 hectares mainly produces red wines (only 18 hectares in white). While these wines are less known than those of its illustrious neighbor Volnay, they reveal beautiful fruit and a fine structure, making them very enjoyable to taste from a young age.
Soil Limestone soils more or less clayey
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Manual harvesting, sorting of grapes upon arrival at the winery. Fermentative maceration in thermoregulated wooden vats for 18 to 21 days. Aging in oak barrels (20% new barrels) for 14 to 16 months.
Nose Very fruity bouquet with notes of black berries (blackberry, blackcurrant) and plum.
Palate Fleshy, full-bodied and relatively powerful palate. Long, very fragrant finish.
Serve with Classic pairing: Ratatouille. Unusual pairing: Grilled quails with Espelette pepper.
Serve at Service temperature: between 15-16°C.
Cellaring potential To be enjoyed within 3 to 5 years and more.
