Location
This 480-hectare vineyard located in southern Burgundy, in the Mâconnais region, extends around Pouilly-Fuissé. Its southern part borders Beaujolais.
Soil
The vineyards thrive on mainly limestone and marl-limestone steep terrain with shallow brown soils and an east exposure.
Grape variety
100 % Chardonnay.
Vinification
Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled vats at 20°C. Aging on fine lees, 80% in vats and 20% in oak barrels for 8 to 9 months.
Robe
Pretty straw dress.
Nose
Fresh nose highlighting vegetal notes of blackcurrant bud, a hint of acacia, and some woody nuances.
Palate
A pleasant roundness in the mouth and a beautiful structure with a long slightly saline finish.
Serve with
Classic pairing: Roast chicken with Provence herbs. Atypical pairing: Foie gras crème brûlée.
Serve at
Serving temperature: between 11-13°C.
Cellaring potential
To be enjoyed young with fruit or to be kept for 3 to 5 years.
