Location
The Domaine de Lanques estate is located in southern Burgundy, at the heart of the Mâconnais’ vineyards, between Tournus and Mâcon.
Soil The soil is composed of calcareous clay marl, which lends the wines from this appellation their characteristic mineral profile.
Grape variety 100 % Chardonnay.
Vinification Vinified at 20°C in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve all of the freshness, aromas and flavours of the varietal. The wine is aged on the lees and is stirred while it ages, primarily in tanks, for 10 to 12 months.
Robe Beautiful straw yellow in colour with silvery highlights.
Nose Fresh and floral with nuances of linden blossom and honeysuckle and a touch of citrus underpinned by a slightly mineral base.
Palate Starts off fruity with lovely structure and ends with a flavourful finish reminiscent of pink grapefruit.
Serve with Serve this wine with seared seafood and fish such as filet of ling with tarragon and steamed potatoes or with white meats such as chicken breast served with quinoa. Assorted semi-dry goat’s cheeses are an ideal choice for cheese.
