Burgundy’s terroirs have showcased the Pinot Noir grape for centuries where it is synonymous with elegance and finesse. The grapes are sourced from plots throughout the region.
Soil Though the terroirs are very diverse, all of the soils are a mix of clay and limestone. The vines are planted in a north-south axis with varying exposure to the sun and at varying altitudes. These factors all contribute to this wine’s aromatic complexity.
Grape variety 100 % Pinot Noir.
Vinification Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats at 28-30°C with punching of the cap before being aged for 8 to 12 months in oak barrels.
Robe Magnificent salmon pink in colour with peach highlights.
Nose Delectable aromas of fruit drop candies with hints of citrus (grapefruit) and peach.
Palate Luscious and tangy on the palate with a slightly briny finish that gives nice balance to this wine.
Serve with This Burgundy rosé is a good match for deli meats, barbecued white meats and fish, fried foods and delicate cheeses. It would be ideal with curried chicken brochettes, a nice sirloin steak, or pork tenderloin glazed with acacia honey.
