This estate’s Hautes-Côtes de Nuits vineyards are located on the slopes just to the west of the famed Côte de Nuits.
Soil The vines are planted in calcareous clay-based soil overlying Middle and Upper Jurassic limestone.
Grape variety 100 % Chardonnay.
Vinification Vinified in temperature-controlled tanks (20°C) to preserve all of the freshness, aromas and flavours of this varietal. Aged on the lees with regular stirring, in tanks for the most part, for 10 to 12 months.
Robe Beautiful, crystalline pale yellow in colour.
Nose Gorgeous intensity, redolent of vegetal notes of humus and white mushrooms with nuances of white blossoms.
Palate Endowed with good structure, this wine stands out for its lovely freshness and nuances of white blossoms with a flavourful finish reminiscent of juniper berries.
Serve with Try this wine with delicately prepared fish such as monkfish medallions with dill or marinated filet of trout as well as with seafood such as sautéed prawns with curry. Poultry, either grilled or in sauce, would also bring out all of this wine’s flavours and aromas.
Serve at Serve between 10 and 12°C.
Cellaring potential Enjoy while young and fruity or lay down for 3 to 5 years.
